About the Guidebook
This guidebook is a companion to my memoir, A Survivor’s Surrender – Healing One Layer at a Time. After its release, I received many comments from readers who gained hope, help and healing. One suggested that I create this workbook to help people move more easily through the steps of self-healing.
We’ve all overcome some traumatic events in our lives. It seems to be a universal lesson for humans on planet earth. My experiences in childhood included sexual, ritual, emotional, physical and mental abuse. Painful as they were at the time, they helped me to become who I am today.
This guidebook can help you take an honest look at yourself and make steps toward self-improvement, one chapter at a time. Several of the chapters require a deep dive into your past, while most provide unique tips and wisdom from a commonsense approach.
Unless we put the effort into becoming better versions of ourselves, we are destined to face the same life issues and difficulties – over and over again. Choosing to become the best person you can be is an admirable goal – one which I admire you for having! The journey of self-improvement is the best trip we can take as self-work often brings positive and life-changing results. It certainly has for me.
